The result of the rocket attack in which two IDF soldiers had been injured

A fighting day in the north – 123rd day of the war

Hi,
We were on our way to guarding line we have to catch, but were stoppes because of the fighting day in the north. One of many fighting days with Hezbollah along the Lebanon border in this war.

After we had the longest period of raining days for decades, the sunny weather brought with him anti-tank missiles sniping from Hezbollah, along with artillery bombing of the posts of Ramim Ridge.

IDF, in response, attacked Hezbollah posts with artillery and IAF aircraft. As IDF does in many of those fighting days, and sometimes also tanks are joining in and attack back.

We were called up to this line on Tzav 8 (as this the only legal way they could have draft us), but as this military reserve duty was planned in advance we had time to train a bitbefore taking responsibility of area.

The shift change had to be done at night, and for some reason was rescheduled for early afternoon. But this fighting changed the schedule again.

We had to wait until darkness to make the change because an unrecognized aerial vehicle that had penetrated the settlements area we had to defend. Only after it was taken down we were allowed to move in.

It is not a coincidence that this unrecognized aerial vehicle attack came today. It is pretty clear to us that Hezbollah is aware of this change. This change is a weak point and an opportunity to attack and kill IDF soldiers.

This something we always have to keep in mind – the enemy is listening and everything we talked about in the cellphone, or texting about is some the enemy will know.

Take Care
Gad
