The list is never-ending – 1,300 deaths in couple of days. It is not only the music festival, These are the hundreds of soldiers and hundreds of citizens from the settlements on Gaza surroundings.
And not to talk about thousands of wounded people in different levels, some in risk of death. And the rest might suffer from those for the rest of their life.
On Pillar of Defense I used to read the names of each fallen soldier, where they lived, and look on their pictures, but now you can not keep trace – or you do not want to.
You do not want to know someone close is dead, just like want to know who died in Re’im music festival massacre.
During the second day of war, a screenshot of Whatsapp conversation was spread. It showed a list of complete infantry battalions being erased, high-level officers dead, many elite units squadrons no longer available. We considered it fake news, but as time passes, we understand this is reality.
8 more soldiers have died since the war began, and they are all due to mistakes: run over by tank, problems in weapons, two-sided shooting, and more.
The list is multi national and consists of many foreign citizens, from the music festival and also many from the settlements around Gaza strip.
