The soldier Private Ori Megidish has been rescued today from Hamas captivity by IDF soldiers. She was checked, and she is healthy and back to her family in Kiryat Gat.
It is so happy to finally hear one of 239 kidnapped citizens and soldiers by Hamas on the black Sabbath of 07.10.2023 is now safe at home. She served as an observation soldier in Nahal Oz base where seen been taken hostage from.
Unlike Gilad Shalit who spent years in Hamas captavity after been kidnapped from his tank on Gaza border, Ori only had suffered for 24 days as an hostage and I do wish all hostages will be rescued as quickly as she.
The rescue operation is part of the ground maneuver that is slowly taking face in Gaza strip and hopefully will result in many more hostages to be liberated in the following days.
Meanwhile, Hamas had released a video of another 3 hostages (Danielle Aloni, Rimon Kirsht, and Elena Trupanov) calling out for Bibi to release Hamas prisoner so they can come back home. They were kidnapped from their houses in Gaza surroundings with their children (some young than 3 years old). It is part of Hamas terror to put pressure on Israel to release its prisoners from the prison in Israel, terrorists who murdered citizens.
Apart from Ori Megidish, Hamas had released 4 hostages so far from its own reasons since the war had begun. There are many more hostages in Gaza, and many of them are with double citizenship (this what held up the ground maneuver for a while).
