closing a circuit ⭕ – 156th day of war

Hi,
Closing a circuit, is one of the most tactical combat fighting techniques the IDF should be most proud of. I am not sure this is the correct phrase, as I just translate it from Hebrew, so let me clear my self here.

In almost any time a rocket or a missile are fired from one of surrounding Arab enemy countries  we are at war with (Lebanon, Syria, Gaza Strip), the security systems can easily locate the place it was fired from. It then can follow the terrorists responsible of, and launch an attack on those (maybe closing a fire circle might be a better expression here).

It might sound simple, but keep in mind there are many organizations on people, involved in this act of war and keep them all in the same loop, looking in the same person in the same time and hit him back (or, as we say, closing a circuit) is very complicated. In some cases, in Gaza strip, it took less than half an hour from the time the rocket was fired till a helicopter hit the terrorist and killed him.

For example, yesterday several rockets were fired at Mount Hermon IDF bases and the nearby Druze town of Majdal Shams (which, unlike other settlements along the border, is not empty). Later that day, during the night, IAF aircraft stroke and destroyed the launchers which were located at the Lebanon town of Rachaya Al Foukhar, on the northern slopes of Mount Hermon.

Take care
Gad
