Running from Hagoshrim to Egel Gate

Hi,

Like the last times we came to visit Atzva brother in Hagoshrim, I used the morning to run. I already run to Ramim Ridge, to Tel Faher and to mount Hermon (this was really a hard one…)

This time I run to Egel Gate. The meaning is Calf gate, but don’t catch me on the word, It might be an old Aramic word. I didn’t really got to gate. It was not good if I have got there, because Egel gate is a gate in the border fence between Israel and Lebanon.

Back on the days IDF was sitting in Lebanon, this one of the two main gates to cross the border. The border was called the “Good Fence“, as it was not really a border, but a good fence between neighbors (that ones army is sitting on the other territory…)

The concrete crossover, is left unused as the water run around it. If you wish to cross by foot, you can use the stones in the stream.
