Hi,
I guess there are not holy sites in war. Today a cluster bomb fell about 350m from Al-Aqsa mosque in the old city of Jerusalem (which is the most southern part of the Temple Mount). It did not kill anyone but did damaged a support wall in the Old city.
This is not the first time the Old city of Jerusalem got hit in this war with Iran, but it is the first time a bomb (with dozens kg of explosives police spokesman says) hit it.
Before that those were interceptions fragments that fell on the old city. One of those fell on a roof just near the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. At first glance it does not seem big, but when you see it down near people you understand it bigger than it first apears.
Another fragments fell on the Temple Mount itself, not far from Dome of Rock on the square that usually holds thousands of Muslim prayers. It could have ended in many casualties if it would have fallen on Friday prayers.
I do wonder what will happen if a ballistic missile will hit directly in the mount of temple. Or even just a cluster bomb from a ballistic missile will hit the Dome of the Rock or Al-Aqsa mosque on the Temple mount.
Israel will be automatically blamed for not defending the Holy sites of the Islam, as those who launch the ballistic missile are themselves Muslims…
Take Care
