The education system is closed since Sunday, what makes since weare in war. But at the same time – Atzva and I require to work as construction had been defined as crucial to the economy.
So on one hand, we need to work full time (as our employer will not get paid for our absence). And we cannot take a day off because many of the office workers are drafted for reserve duty.
And on the other hand: Jannaeus, Mindal and Dub are small kids that cannot be left alone at home. So we have to work and entertain our kids at the same time.
It makes me wonder – how a country that invests so much time in designing its biggest long range military operation ever, does not think how to arrange its civil society for this war.
Of course you cannot open schools and kindergarten with siren alarms every day. But the minimal request is to have distance learning for our elementary school kids. Even half a day. You would have think that after two years of Covid-19 and two years of war we would be expert on distance learning, but only tomorrow we will have couple of hours of it (five days into the war)
It is just another symptom of our non-working government that keeps focusing on war, and how it will be efit from it, instead of how people need to live their lives in this country…
