Ultra Orthodox autonomy

Hi,
Let me remind you that one of reasons that to this second lockdown, was that parts of groups of Israel refused to follow the traffic light plan such as the Ultra orthodox autonomy .Ultra Orthodox autonomy

Mostly it were the Ultra-orthodox that refused to see themselves as living in Red cities (according to the traffic light Ultra Orthodox autonomy plan) But it hasn’t changed in the last month.

And now Rabbi Kanievsky, leader of one of the streams of ultra-orthodox, decided to open the schools although the guidelines still forbids it. I would expect the police to see the guidelines are followed – but Bibi “call not to do so. But we’ll not be able to enforce it…”.

So what is the point? We keep locking ourselves while they been treated privately in their houses on the expense of public health care, and not see themselves as part of the public. Or part of this country.

It seems that what the non-religious people in Israel managed to suppress during the economic growth in the last two decades is now surfacing above. As much Israel tries to integrate the ultra-orthodox in the army, the economy or in public life – they see themselves as separated.

This could have been fine if we were a confederation, but we are not. We are one country, with one economy. And as one, called Bibi, said: “without the Arabs and the Ultra orthodox” we are in great situation”. So let them have an Ultra Orthodox autonomy, have them deal with their education, budget and health issues on alone.

Take care
Gad
