My casted broken finger - ski injuries

Broken finger

Hi,

I am about to leave for a ski vacation tomorrow morning, and to tell you the truth I am more worried more than excited of happiness.

It isn’t about leaving Atzva alone with the kids, she handle them better than I do. Nor it is about the job, they can stand a week without me. Nor it is about the work, they can handle a week without me (they better do).

No… It is about my broken finger. The one I broke in the last ski vacation 2 years ago in Val Thorens. Since then I had no ski vacation. And now I am worried about how it will be…

Usually kids break all kind of bones in their body, I never did. This is the first bone I have ever broken in my life (I did had broken heart due to you ). And it took me months to recover from. They say the best to get as fast as possible to driving after you had a car accident, so you won’t get scared about it. Well now I am scared and worried about it.

I had another ski vacation since the one I wrote you about, and the one in Val Thorens in which I have broken my finger, But this is the first since I had a cast. And then again it reminds me it is a dangerous sport. And it also remind me, how it broke my illusion of “It won’t happen to me”, even after I saw other got injured during our other ski vacations…

Take Care
Gad
