Since the beginning of the war (and maybe before) we got our pre-alert massages as Cell broadcast that just takes over your cellphone no matter you are using it for, and not only from Home Front Command in their application as we got in Am Kelavi.
In the first morning of the 2nd Iran war, we got 13 pre-alert cell broadcast massages (!). As we were out (Mindal, Dub and I) when the siren was heard and I did not took the time to check the cellphone to see what the siren about was – I just grabbed them both and run home only to open the cellphone to know I better find a protected area around me….
We got used to those massages taking over our life and to use the time to go to pee, close quickly a meeting and not only to get in the protected area (which in our case is a room in our apartment).
Those massages are not shown only on your cellphone screen as their name hints. Atzva and the kids see those on the screens of the tablets they are using, and also on beverages machines on the small screen on the box you use to pay with your credit card in…

IDF spokesman whatsapp channel gave a bit more information that morning
In the last few minutes, alarms have been sounded throughout the country, and an advance warning from the Home Front Command was distributed directly to mobile phones, instructing people to be in the vicinity of a protected area.
This is a proactive warning aimed at alerting the public to the possibility of rocket fire into our territory.
The IDF emphasizes that currently there is no need to remain within protected areas.
Following a situation assessment, it was decided that starting today at 8:00 AM, a change will take place in the Home Front Command’s defense policy. As part of the changes, it was decided to move all regions of the country from a full activity rating to a necessary activity rating. The guidelines include: a ban on educational activities, gatherings, and going to workplaces, except for essential businesses. The guidelines published by the Home Front Command through official distribution channels must continue to be followed. The full guidelines will be updated on the National Emergency Portal and the Home Front Command app.
