Hi,
This 2nd war with Iran is longer than Am Kelavi operation in June last year, and in some aspects it is also worse than it.
We had suffered much more time in the protected area than we had in the 12 days of Am Kelavi. But only about half of the amount of Iranian ballistic missile were launched towards Israel. The number of drones has also dramatically dropped from more than 1,000 to around 150.
But the above does not include the rockets, missiles and drones from Lebanon. Hezbollah was not part of Am KeLavi war, while is a side in this war. Firing and bombing the settlements along the border with Israel daily, and every couple of day launch a missile to the center of Israel as well.
We have seen much less direct hits of Iranian ballistic missiles, but much more hits from cluster ballistic missiles fired from Iran. This is why we such a big difference between the number of deaths now (12) and then (32).
From IAF side it seems there were about 3 times more attacks in Iran than last year – the aircraft and pilots does not seem to stop flying back and fourth to Iran to strike sites and locations.
Just the fact that we are in the 13th day of this war and counting it (meaning this war is longer than Am KeLavi) make it worse than the first war. The education system does not seem to go back to activity any time soon, the economy has yet opened (not completely), and if in Am KeLavi there was a responsible adult to finish the war after 12 days – here is in it with us…
Take Care
