After the most of my brothers and sister are back living with my parents – they started calling each other parasites. Somehow using the English term sounds better than the Hebrew word (Tapil).
They are all there because they do not have protected area in their houses or apartments. And because they all need help to take care of the kids as the education system does not work. Or works partly using Zoom meeting that does not fit for toddlers.
It is nice for a solution for couple of days of this Epic Fury, but not for two weeks. All my siblings are grown man with kids of there own. Going back to live with your parents is never easy, and it twice as hard when you have kids of your own.
On top of All, Guri (one of my younger brothers) decided to reorganize the house and make my parents throw away as much as he can. He used to do it when he has been visiting them before, couple of weekends a month – but now it is on a different level as he deals with it daily, making my parent going crazy.
My parents love to have the kids and grandchildren there – but it hard for them as well. Ima has to help feed all those kids every day, and she also has to help entertain them, help with laundries and cleaning. Of course everybody helps out as they can – but there is still much on them.
Just after October 7th all the wives gathered in my parents house for the same reason, as all the husbands have been drafted and none of the houses and apartments of us and my siblings had protected area. But it was different – none of them had to work, and they all put an hand to help with the choirs.
