Guilty is why I drafted this time. My guilty feelings for sending my brothers in arms to fight alone without me. This is not a good reason to draft for military reserve duty.
On October 7th, we all drafted for the horror we saw, full of meaning to defend our country from more attacks like Hamas terror organization attack.
Later, we drafted to guard the north border of Israel with Lebanon and to defend the empty settlements along the border.
Then we got into Gaza strip as there were still many hostages held by Hamas. We did believe that what we did there helps to save the life of the hostages from Hamas captavity.
Labanon was next, and we had to end the work of defending the north by getting in there and demolishing Hezbollah infrastructure and capturing its weapons.
But now –
-It is clear that live hostages will return only in a deal.
-There is no Hamas organization we are fighting. Just spread terrorists hiding in tunnels and demolished buildings waiting to strike back.
-It is not clear what is the target here, to clear Gaza strip from building and to demolish all the tunnels in it? To find all the hostages and save them (because we know deals is ehat bring them back)?
-The war, or better say, this fighting is only kept so Bibi coalition alive. So Ben Gvir and Smotrich can show their base voters of the right-wing they stay in the government and do something.
I do hope Trump will put his weight here, as he did when the war against Iran was about to extend over the time he set for cease fire. Iran launched a missile couple of hours after the deadline, which set a massive airstrike from Israel that was prevented by a direct order from Trump.
