Hi,
Today we got the first Houthi Ballistic missile hit here in Israel. Dozens of Houthi Ballistic missiles has been launched towards Israel in past months. All of them had been intercepted by Israel aerial defense system (Iron Dome, David Sling and the Hetz)
But this missile had managed to penetrate those defense systems. Out of 27 missiles launched from Yemen to Israel since the war resumed, this is the only missiles that did so, meaning 26 out of 27 missiles had been intercepted by Israel – 96% success, very impressive .
But that Houthi ballistic missile did not landed in an empty field, but inside Ben Gurion Airport. Some 350 m to the side (which is nothing in Ballistic Missile scales as it launched from 2,150 km away).
Atzva family was scared as her sister was on her way to a work flight. Luckly they have not yet took off and had to run to the protected areas. The flight was of course delayed, but she did took off at last.
Meanwhile in our “ordinary” out of war life, we keep suffering from our government. The teachers and kindergartners went on a strike as the wage been cut, without they have even been informed. That is of course did not apply to the Ultra-Orthodox schools as they been financed in a different way…
Take Care

The location of the hit inside Ben Gurion Airport, the sign is for El Al (Israel flag carrier) and its slogan – The most at home in the world, which sounds a bit ironic with the missile carter in front (Source: www.haaretz.co.il)
