A street in the town - Les Arcs 1950

Les Arcs 1950

Hi,
Today we crossed to Les Arcs 1950, which is of course a bit higher than Les Arcs 1800, we are sleeping. It is east of Les Arcs 1800, while La Plange (where we visited yesterday) is west of it. All of it is still part of Paradiski.

The town isn’t only higher, but it is really a town, with streets you can walk in with shops on both sides. In Les Arcs 1800 we found two shoping centers, that give a feeling of a mall, and are not fun to walk in. A nice clock tower is on top of town, to make it beautiful for postcard pictures. Some bridges are spanning over the streets, connecting one building to another. There is always a group of birds above town, but I guess I cannot blame Les Arcs 1800 for not having it.

Did I wrote “walk the streets”?, my bad. It should have been skiing in the streets of Les Arcs 1950. For one of the pistes is going through town. Let you enjoy town without have to stop and walk it, just ski through (“shopping with skies on” they call it).

We stopped on one of the resturants to meet our friend that got injuried on his first day. We thought he will be able to get here by ski elevators and gondolas, but apperantly there are free shuttlels between the towns 🤗

It was a beutiful clear and warm day, and we spent most of day above town, where almost all the gondolas and elevators where opened (except the highest gondola to the pick of the mountain) and we could high and enjoy the view above the clouds.

Take Care
Gad
