August 31st 2016-Week 21: HaShalom station construction

Week 21

We just had our extended exam and everything is fine: He is still a boy, he still have two kidneys, and the other essential parts The doctor ask us to come in a month again, to check if his hippes are still in top part of the normal values. It scared me for couple of  minutes. But now I think it is another chance to see our baby =). This time he printed the pictures in low quality and even we cannot see what is in there =/

Last week I had my birthday and I told you I would get fireworks, well I did, but probably not the what you were thinking about. We had our own Pisa tower: He is also round and a bit tilted for foundation problems. Unlike the original is not a tourist attraction and they decided to demolished it by explosives. That is a rare you know about an explosion in advance: usually you are not announced of explosions, because most of it is done by terrorists….

There was also a big railway expansion project. Adding a new terminal to Tel Aviv HaShalom railway station. Because of the huge segments of the steel truss that had to be lifted, Netivei Ayalon highway had to be closed. Because this the main highway of Tel-Aviv, the works had to be done on Sabbath. That cause a coalition crises when the religious parties demanded the ministry of transportation to resign. It was agreed that those are life saving work (if they had done it in other day they would have ruin the life of many people – that’s why it is life saving ), and the work were done according to the plan.
