Damage like in Gaza I have not seen in any of missiles and rocket hitting locations, not until now. But the Iranian missiles hitting Israel cities are in a different magnitude of damage.
The damage those missiles cause are both for the fact those are ballistic missiles and for the amount of explosive each one of those missiles is carrying (500 kg of explosives, and it seem Iran have missiles with larger warheads – up to 2,000 kg of explosives).
Those are the missiles that Iran is was launching back at Israel in the first and second attacks and also since the beginning of Operation Am Kelavi. The first thing that cross my mind when I was looking on the two story building in Rishon Lezion was – Gaza.
This is how the building inside Gaza strip looked like when I was sitting inside the strip about half a year ago. The building have collapsed completely, the structural system had lost it stability and its ability to support the load is was designed to carry (mainly the slabs, the flooring and the live load on it).
The other building also suffered from damages, but not necessarily to the structural system but to the masonry and hollow core blocks that use as infill between the vertical elements and the horizontal elements.
It was heart breaking to see those magnitudes of structural damages inside Israel. Nothing we have seen here since Hamas Terror attack on October 7th.
