Hi,
Atzva woke me up today to show Petel does not look good. She also peed on the floor, something she had never done. After spending the day at our veterinarian and in the pet hospital we had to say goodbye to Petel.
Along with Xuxa, Petel was part with our family. Atazva was mad at her taking her place in bed every evening, so she just on Atzva after she got into bed.
We got her during Covid-19 pandemic, about a year after we lost Arieh the cat.聽 She was a small kitten that someone rescued from the street and looked for someone to adopt.
About a month ago she had infection in her mouth and needed to be treated with antibiotics for couple of weeks. Apparently when we stopped, another infection started. The vet pulled out some 150ml of pus from her chest that morning, and I do not know how much more the vet in the hospital pulled out of her.
In the hospital we tried to realize what we can do to save her. But the fact was, that no matter how many more medicines, how much more pus they would pull out of the chest she was just too weak at that point.
We took her home (although what the vet suggested, but he also said there will not be a difference between the hospital or home), gave her something to ease her pain till the next antibiotics and let her rest. But some hours later we found she had passed away.
The kids took it bad and were mad. Jannaeus just went crying and mad at us all evening. Mindal just wished to see her and cried she want Petel, But both were OK by the morning.
Rest in peace Petel the cat 馃惥
Take Care
