The body of Sgt.-Maj Tzvi Feldman on its way back to Israel

Sgt.-Maj Tzvi Feldman zl

Hi,
Sgt.-Maj Tzvi Feldman zl body was missing for 43 years, since the Battle of Sultan Yacoub in Lebanon war (1982). The battle, between Israel and Syria, on Lebanon ground ended up with six soldiers missing in action.

Six year ago, the remains of another IDF soldier from this battle, Zechariah Baumel, returned 37 years after he was declared missing in the battle.

Seeing the families finally getting a grave to mourn on is heart warming. But as we returning bodies of soldiers from War Lebanon war – There are still 59 hostages from October 7th attack held in captivity in Gzaz strip by Hamas terrorists.

This war progress in unclear direction. Our government, led by politicians such as Bibi, Smotrich and Ben Gvir, seems to wish to extend the fighting and demolishing in Gaza strip. The hostages, they say, are just one of this war targets. and by the way they act – not the most important one.

The new IDF chief of staff, Eyal Zamir, had stated what is very clear to us all – the way to bring back the hostage is by a deal (just the 1st and 2nd hostage deal), not by endless fighting. The military pressure kills them, and not releases them.

Although I was skeptic when Trump was chosen, it seems he does make things worse for Bibi and his government. And by that makes things better for the hostages and Israel.

He did make the 2nd hostage deal to take place. The are talks that Edan Alexander, American-Israeli hostage, will be released as gesture for Trump visit in the Middle East. And the fact Trump wishes to end to war – makes me hope we will see all the hostage back home soon.

Take Care
