Mish – 86th day of war

Hi,
It did take long, but someone I know was added to the list of IDF injured soldiers – Mish. A far friend and the brother of my good friend Yuzik.

Yuzik had called me. At first, I thought he wanted to talk and tell us that his wife and kids are back home and we can finally meet them again. They were abroad not so long after the Black Sabbath that we spent together camping in Kfar HaNokdim, of the fear the event will escalate to a full war.

I opened the chat to tell him I was putting the kids to sleep and saw we were last discussing his tooth had to pull out in a surgery. ” How are your teeth? Did you recover?” I asked. He answered “Yes, but there is something else. Talk to me.”

I had many thoughts running in my head till Jannaeus and Mindal slept. None of them was good. But none of them was as bad as hearing my friend brother was severely injured.

While in Central Gaza strip, his PUMA was hit by an RPG. Mish was sitting on the other side while his friend Constantine Sushko was sitting on the other side. Sushko was killed (and will be buried tommrow in Tel-Aviv) , and he was severely injured.

I was opening IDF spokesperson announcement every morning and looking on the growing dead list. The injured are going underneath the radar, although they are mentioned every morning.

He is a sapper as I am. “I did not think he was injured. They write battilion 7086 of Golani brigade, who think it is comabt enginner?” My friend said.
